This is the east side of South State Street, just south of Vermillion Street. All of the buildings shown along this section of South State Street were subsequently demolished: The Old Hotel Athens (Bondurant Home); Beckett's Gulf Service Station; the Old Massie Hotel (Beckett Home); and the Massie Store (Beckett Appliance Store). The second photo provides a more current perspective.
